CEO of Jahad Investment Company Announces Agreements on Wheat and Barley Imports, as well as Agricultural Exports to Kazakhstan at EXPO 2025 Astana.

According to the public relations department of the Jahed Investment and Service Co, Morteza Shahmardi, CEO of JISCO announced that Constructive understandings have been reached to import of barley and wheat, as well as consultations regarding the export of Iranian agricultural products to Kazakhstan during the EXPO 2025 Astana.

While touring the pavilions of major Kazakh agricultural companies, Shahmardi stated that a series of positive meetings and discussions were held with the aim of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of agricultural trade. 

He emphasized that agreements were concluded on the export of Iranian agricultural products—including nuts, fruits, and other agricultural commodities—to the Kazakh market. Additionally, mutual understandings were achieved on the import of wheat and barley from Kazakhstan, which will further strengthen commercial ties between the two countries. 

He added that overseas farming was among the new areas of cooperation discussed with the Kazakh side, recently incorporated into the operational scope of Jahad Investment Company. Both parties expressed interest in pursuing joint ventures in this field. 

The visit aligns with Jahad Investment Company’s commitment to enhancing international relations—particularly in the field of agricultural trade—and exploring regional collaboration opportunities. 

The EXPO 2025 is currently being held in Astana from 10 to 12 June 2025, concurrently with the 20th Session of the Joint Commission for Economic, Commercial, Technical, Scientific, and Cultural Cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan. 

Mohammad Reza Nouri, Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, who is leading an economic delegation to Astana, is presiding over the 20th Meeting of the Joint Commissions between Iran and Kazakhstan.
